protect and manage the world's ports and
shoreline.
The Harbormaster Institute will focus on
supporting Harbormasters in their community
role as a guardian of the American point of
entry for commerce and people, as a prime
custodian of American waters, the
surrounding wetlands and eco-systems; as a
community resource for safe, recreational
boating; and the local first line of defense of
American shores and coastal waters.
